The whole group on opening night. |
We are back to work in Branson, Missouri everyone! I have to say I was very excited about that because Branson is my home. But as blogging goes- there just isn't too much to say! It is kind of redundant. We do 8pm shows on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Then we do 3pm shows on Tuesday and Thursday. Not a bad schedule! The band also works with the Texas Tenors though, so they are a bit more busy!
Opening night went great, and in fact the first couple of weeks there have got very well! I am actually getting the chance to do four original songs in the show, so that is very exciting, and makes coming to work a bit more interesting and fun for me! I have had some of my sweet friends come into the show, and will be having even more come in soon! And I truly have to say that being able to have your friends come in and give their opinion on the new songs, and the show in general, is one of the best reasons to work close to home.

Gabe and I at the Landing. |

Gabe and I at the Landing. |
One thing that was a bit special and out of the blue was an MDA telethon event down at Branson Landing. Gabe and I went down there at 11pm on the first Sunday we were there, and did a fifteen minute set of our originals. There was a big crowd gathered for the telethon, and it was a great chance to try out a couple of the new tunes! We just did it with a guitar and two microphones. Very raw, but it was a good time!

My garage sale. |
Aside from that, it has been business as usual... With a few added bonuses of dinners and nights out with friends. (Another bonus of working in your home city!) And, I had a huge garage sale! My very first one actually! It was great! A lot of work- but it was a lot of fun too! Thank God for my friend Jamie helping me out though. I could never have done it without her! I am actually writing this blog from out on the road. Yes, we have left Branson for a week to do a tour in North Carolina. So I will have a full blog post on that soon, but I just figured there needed to be an update on life in Branson first! So don't worry, lots more to come in the weeks ahead!
Update- I didn't get to post this until I got back to Branson... Dad and Gabe's Birthday was wonderful! Dad turned 71, and Gabe turned 24! Very exciting! I'll have more to share about that in the next blog about North Carolina! But for now I'll just say... There was cake. Lots of cake!
